Take me to Church

Over the past few months, Graves Jenkins has been restoring faith in the restaurant industry with their recent lettings on 97 Church Road, Hove, and 111 Church Street, Brighton. Both premises have been highly sought after, with several businesses vying for the chance to occupy these prime locations.

The spacious venue at 97 Church Road, which previously housed the popular Indian restaurant Ashoka, received a lot of interest from established restaurant chains to up-and-coming independent eateries, despite the challenging market conditions. Eventually, the property was let to a highly popular local business that was eager to expand its existing operations and offers exciting new dishes to its loyal customers. With outside seating available, this location is sure to be a hit among diners.

Additionally, GJ secured a six-figure premium for a vacant restaurant space at 111 Church Street in Brighton, which was previously occupied by the seasonal small plates operator @Ten. The new operators, who are local graduates from Sussex University, have quickly established themselves as a favourite among food lovers with their delicious offerings of the finest British produce, including hot smoked pastrami, dry-aged beef, and hand-pressed burgers.

Looking ahead, GJ is currently in the process of finalising terms for Red Roaster's prestigious new location on New Road in Brighton's bustling city centre. This exciting new restaurant space, located within the iconic Dome building, will offer stunning views of the Pavilion Gardens from its outside seating area. The Dome is currently undergoing a major renovation project and is set to become available very soon.
